WP Media Directories
Upload into the folder you selected—not into 2026/08
Select a Folder, upload as usual (or drag from your OS). Files become attachments in that physical directory.
When a Folder is selected, uploads write into that directory and skip WordPress year/month subfolders, so new files land where editors intended.
