WP Media Directories
We built the folders WordPress should have shipped
Editors deserve real directories inside the Media Library, not virtual tags, not a second media product.
WP Media Directories exists to make physical organization feel native, safe, and honest about disk, inside the Media Library teams already use.
WordPress still files media into year/month paths. Virtual folder plugins organize labels in the database while the server stays chaos. Separate media managers ask editors to learn a second UI.
WP Media Directories takes a different path: physical directories under your upload basedir, mounted in the native Media Library grid, list, and modal, with Fast/Rewrite moves, Replace/Copy conflicts, and Reconcile when disk changes.
